On June 1, 2026, the EMS (Energy Management System) project, based on the AI-powered energy forecasting and collaborative optimization platform developed on YonBIP, was officially launched at BorsodChem in Hungary. Senior executives and core project team members from BorsodChem, Yonyou Europe, and SunGrow attended the kick-off meeting and jointly initiated the EMS implementation project.
The meeting was chaired by Brad Wang, CIO of Wanhua BorsodChem. Jason Zhu, Head of Delivery at Yonyou Europe ABU, presented the overall project scope and implementation plan. The kick-off meeting was attended by senior representatives from all participating organizations, including Alex Liu, Chairman of BorsodChem; Lily Li, Vice Chairman of BorsodChem; Mr. Kruppa László, President of BorsodChem; Mr. Luo Xiaojiang, Vice President of Yonyou Group; Mr. Yao Chunlei, Platform Expert of Yonyou Group; Mr. Neil Lin, General Manager of Yonyou Europe; Mr. Wyalon Xian, Deputy General Manager of Yonyou Europe; Mr. Zhou Wenwen, President of Sunlight Huicarbon; Ms. Zhao Lin, Head of Sungrow Europe Research Institute; and Mr. Zhao Lisi, Solutions Director, among other distinguished guests.

Focusing on Intelligent Energy Management
to Build an Integrated EMS Platform
The EMS platform project was jointly planned and launched by BorsodChem, Yonyou Europe, and SunGrow iCarbon. Leveraging the YonBIP digital intelligence platform, together with BC’s advanced chemical industry expertise and SunGrow iCarbon’s capabilities in energy management and collaborative optimisation, the project aims to address multiple energy scenarios, including electricity, steam, and natural gas. Through intelligent system scheduling and AI-based forecasting capabilities, the platform will optimize overall energy costs and improve energy utilization efficiency.
Under the joint solution framework developed by Yonyou Europe and Sungrow iCarbon, all parties will work together to deliver a high-quality EMS and customised energy optimisation solution. The ultimate objective is to enhance energy management capabilities, reduce operational costs, and drive sustainable and green development.

During the meeting, representatives from BorsodChem highlighted that the EMS project is one of the company’s key energy digitalization initiatives. The project is expected to play a significant role in enhancing the sophistication of energy management, optimizing operational costs, and strengthening the company’s long-term sustainable competitiveness.
As photovoltaic and energy storage facilities gradually come into operation, BorsodChem faces increasing demands for energy forecasting, intelligent scheduling, real-time decision-making, and refined operational management. After more than a year of research, solution evaluation, and multi-party assessment, BorsodChem ultimately selected Yonyou Europe and Sungrow iCarbon as partners, leveraging the complementary strengths of all three parties in digital platforms, energy management technologies, and industrial application expertise.
The company expects the project team to build on previous collaboration experience, ensure high-quality delivery and a smooth go-live, and continuously enhance the energy management system through deeper integration of business needs, operational scenarios, and localized practices.

Representatives from Yonyou Europe and Sungrow iCarbon stated at the meeting that both parties will jointly deploy global and European local resources to establish a dedicated implementation and expert team, working in close collaboration to advance the EMS project.
Leveraging Yonyou’s BIP platform, proven industry solutions, and Sungrow iCarbon’s expertise in energy digitalization and artificial intelligence, the two parties will work together to build an intelligent and efficient energy management system tailored to the company’s operational needs. Through advanced capabilities such as data analytics, intelligent forecasting, and optimization, the project aims to enhance energy management efficiency, support sustainable growth, and serve as a benchmark for energy digitalization and smart energy management in Hungary and across Europe.
The kick-off meeting marks the transition of the project from planning into the implementation phase, initiating structured collaboration among all parties in the fields of energy digitalization and intelligent energy management.
